Students don’t just write a book. They build one — and keep the blueprint for the next one.
Scaffold is a semester-long English writing platform where a student writes a whole, real book in their own words. The AI — “Socrates” — only asks questions. It never writes for them.
We don’t grade spelling. Using mathematics and language processing, Scaffold measures how a student’s logic, reasoning, and thinking grow over time — reading each section as it is written to build a living understanding of the whole book.
Every sentence carries a record of its origin — what the student typed, what came from their own thinking, what came from outside — sealed with a Certificate of Authorship. In an age when every essay is suspect, it is a credential a student can put beside a college application.
The book is the proof. The real education is the architecture of thinking: how to take any big, messy idea and make it whole. The next thing they build doesn’t have to be a book at all.
